Match Of The Week -  (Chris/Ruthie's pick) Britt Baker vs Thunder Rosa (AEW Saint Patrick’s Day Slam)

Since Thunder Rosa began wrestling at AEW I’ve really loved her. She has improved so much, and is such a strong powerful background in mixed martial arts. You then have in my opinion the most improved and strongest female wrestler, the FACE of AEW, Britt Baker D.M.D. She has been the best heel in any of the feuds I have seen in any wrestling show.

The match they had...WOW! WOW! WOW! They had a proper old fashioned hardcore match where all the tables, thumbtacks, chairs and LADDERS were used properly. I was shouting at the TV when Reba got the table “DEVON GET THE TABLES”. I really could not help it. Both women gave their all and I was shouting for both. I can’t wait to see where Britt Baker goes....SHE SHOULD BE WOMEN’S WORLD CHAMPION, and I can’t wait to see if Thunder Rosa stays at AEW or continues with NWA, either way these women will be on our screens. BEST WOMEN’S MATCH EVER. 

This match shows the WWE how their women SHOULD be used. Watch out for a post next week where I talk about this. 

Runner Up - Moose Vs Rich Swann - Impact Sacrifice 

 Gem Of The Week - (Ruthie's pick) Sami Callihan vs Trey Miguel

 

The psychology behind this match is amazing! Sami Callihan understands how to build psychology into a match. This match was simple, yet told a great story of Sami Callihan the heel beating up Trey Miguel the face, however, Miguel put up a great fight. You will have to go and see who wins. I wonder if there will be more matches, as in my opinion, this could go further.

Jordan Devlin Vs Trent Seven - NXT Cruiserweight Title - NXT UK (Chris' Pick)

These guys had an outstanding contest despite an obvious winner due to the upcoming NXT Takeover. Back and forth for twenty minutes, the amount of near falls really heightens up the drama towards the end of the match with even an oh so close finish for Seven where Devlin only just manages to get his foot under the rope before the count of three. An epic main event for NXT UK who’ve been putting on some stellar matches lately.

Promo Of The Week - (Ruthie's pick) Eddie Kingston and Jon Moxley

These guys in my opinion always cut a strong promo. This promo was no different. The guys really bounced off each other with banter that made the Good Brothers sound like a “joke” then there was some seriousness that had you hooked. A really good promo that you must check out.

MJF introduces us to ‘The Pinnacle’ (Chris' Pick)

MJF is one the best promos in the business, maybe the best. At only 25 he already demonstrates the confidence on the mic and in the ring of a veteran. He’s destined for the main event, or the ‘pinnacle’ if you will. And this week on Dynamite he took another huge stride towards it, tearing apart his former friends Chris Jericho and the Inner Circle with his usual wit before boldly claiming his new crew are now the new top guys in town. A home run for AEW’s biggest future male star.

Move Of The Week -  Moose hits a tope rope fall away slam on Rich Swann - Impact Sacrifice (Chris/Ruthie's pick)

This match was good we had two moves which could have been chosen for move of the week! It was almost Moose’s jump off the top rope into a diamond cutter but we chose something similar last week. Instead we’re going for the absolutely beautiful top rope fall away slam by Moose to Swann. Check it out in the video above and tells us that’s not a thing of beauty!

WOW! MOMENT OF THE WEEK - Britt Baker gets Powerbombed onto thumbtacks - AEW Dynamite (Chris/Ruthie's pick)

We were expecting a hardcore women’s match but not this and not the tacks! In this outstandingly brutal fight, Britt was the one taking a huge powerbomb on the tacks and onto her bare back. A standing ovation to both women for this epic, particularly though for Britt Baker who praise, and a title shot, are long overdue. Look at her face below and tell us she’s not a star.

AEW DYNAMITE Saint Patrick’s Day Slam

The show really was in the spirit of Saint Patrick’s Day. It was full of fun, wrestling and blood. The matches and interviews throughout were strong. After a hard day it made me laugh and cheer for the wrestlers. Great show! You must check it out!
