MTW Best Of Wrestlemania 37!!!

Best Of The Wrestlemania Weekend!

Match Of Wrestlemania - (Chris/Ruthie's pick) - Roman Reigns Vs Edge Vs Daniel Bryan - WWE Smackdown Championship

While Night One’s main event may have had the better story and feel good moment, for our money this was the best contest bell to bell. Edge looked so great back in a big match again, Daniel Bryan is on his usual top form and Roman Reigns is riding a career high heel run. The amount of action all around and in the ring was breathtaking for most of the match, highlights being Edge’s outta nowhere spear to Reigns after he’d power bombed Bryan through the announce table and the double cross face to the champ by the challengers. Spears, brutal chair shots and numerous near falls, maybe not the most memorable Wrestlemania main event of all time but certainly an action packed, exciting watch.

Gem Of Wrestlemania - (Chris/Ruthie's pick) - Cesaro Vs Seth Rollins

Cesaro is a real fan favourite and you can tell the fans were really digging this match. It was the first match on the card that had a feel good moment in! The fans in the stadium really perked up because of this match. You can see why, because the producer behind this match was Shane Helms a wrestler who knew how to get the crowd going. We were counting with the crowd when Cesaro did his Cesaro swing. You will have to check out how many swings he did. Seth Rollins being the heel was as usual an ace heel and the story between these two characters of wanting respect fro each other was told well.

Move Of The Week - (Chris/Ruthie's pick) Sheamus Brogue Kicks a Moonsaulting Riddle

This move was so brutal, no wonder Riddle’s mouth was bleeding after it. Towards the end of a solid match with some nice moves, Riddle goes for a moonsault off the ropes only to be met with a Sheamus brogue kick. Out. Of. Nowhere. Right in the face, right on the money. Brilliant finish to the match.

MOMENT OF WRESTLEMANIA - (Chris/Ruthie's pick) Bianca Bel Air wins the Title in Night One’s Main Event

Massive spoiler alert so skip this bit if you haven’t watched Wrestlemania! Wow! Seeing Bianca Bel Air become WWE Women’s Smackdown Champion was amazing. The match she had with Sasha Banks was solid and she looked athletic and even more importantly she now looks like a Superstar. Both Bianca and Sasha smashed this main event and both looked like they belonged there.

Night Of The Week- (Chris/Ruthie's pick) Night Two

For us, Night One had two really nice moments in Cesaro finally being recognised on the big stage and Bianca Bel Air’s big win but overall Night Two was a more consistent show. By passing The Fiend/Randy Orton  opener, all the matches were at least decent. The woman’s tag was better than expected. The U.S. and Intercontinental title matches were hard hitting. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn was a great undercard match with a Logan Paul angle thrown in. And while we were a little underwhelmed by two of out favourites Asuka and Rhea Ripley, we thought the triple threat main event was the best match across both nights. A decent watch of a Mania, just lacking truly great storytelling and those all so important memorable, Wrestlemania moments.

FINISHER - THREE THINGS TO SEE
