Match Of The Week - JOHNNY GARGANO VS KUSHIDA - NXT VENGEANCE DAY - (CHRIS' PICK)

                             

Hands down match of the week for me and a definite must watch. These two guys put on an unbelievable contest for the North American championship, showcasing some great mat work with jaw dropping aerial moves. Kushida, who I love and feel should be used prominently on the main card instead of NXT, said he came to the U.S. to face Gargano. They certainly didn't disappoint. The best I can say I knew instantly it was my MOTW and wanted to watch it again as soon as it ended. Check it out!

EMBER MOON & SHOTZI BLACKHEART vs RAQUEL GONZALEZ & DAKOTA KAI-NXT VENGEANCE DAY (RUTHIE'S PICK)

For me these women were on FIRE, so that's why its my match of the week. The match was fast paced with bodies flying everywhere. There was so many close counts I was jumping off the sofa! Blackheart and Moon were both high flyers jumping off ropes onto Kai and Gonzalez. Kai and Gonzalez were in the ring with Kai's high kicks and Gonzalez being a BEAST. A real WOW match for the FIRST ever Women's Dust Rhodes Tag Team Classic Trophy! Go check it out!

Gem Of The Week - RIHO VS SERENA DEEB - AEW DYNAMITE (CHRIS/RUTH PICK)

Great match early on in Dynamite between NWA Women's champion Serena Deeb and a returning Riho. Is so good to see the former AEW women's champion back after almost a year away, the fans at Daily's Place are in agreement too chanting 'Welcome back' at the start of the match. As the eliminator first round tournament contest progressed they'd be chanting 'This is awesome' and it was. An exciting, back and forth tussle between the veteran and the Japanese underdog which we both unanimously picked as our gem this week. Welcome back Riho!

Runner Up - TJP VS JOSH ALEXANDER - X DIVISION TITLE - IMPACT

Promo Of The Week - SHEAMUS - RAW TALK - (CHRIS/RUTH PICK)

I've always liked Sheamus. Chris is getting there, I think he likes him more after this promo. We watched this promo and we were hooked by every word Sheamus was saying. We couldn't take our eyes away from him. It felt like he was looking directly into our eyes. The promo was intense and got his point across... HE IS GOING TO WHOOP SOME ASS!

Move Of The Week - JOSH ALEXANDER, TREY MIGUEL AND ACE AUSTIN - DVD INTO PILEDRIVER - IMPACT NO SURRENDER (CHRIS/RUTH PICK)

A superb display of strength from Josh Alexander turns into a fantastic piece of improvisation from Trey Miguel. Alexander hoists both Miguel and Ace Austin onto his shoulders for a Death Valley Driver which somehow results in a Miguel piledriver onto Austin. Magical. Have a look yourself above.

WOW! MOMENT OF THE WEEK -  STING GETS POWERBOMBED BY BRIAN CAGE - AEW DYNAMITE (CHRIS/RUTH'S PICK)

Chris and I were jumping off our seats shouting WHAT! OMG! This is a WOW moment. Taz and Brian Cage are in the ring. Brian Cage looks menacing as ever. Taz calls out Sting. Sting comes out with his famous baseball ready to do war, but instead Brian Cage THE MACHINE, (he really is one) POWERBOMBS STING! WTF! Go and watch this moment now!

Runner Up - ADAM COLE TURNS HEEL - NXT VENGEANCE DAY

Show Of The Week - NXT VENGEANCE DAY (CHRIS' PICK)

Really good PPV by the NXT brand with no poor matches on the card. Hot Dusty Cup finals opener by the women followed by my match of the week Kushida and Gargano. Another great Dusty Cup final tag match with the men this time, MSK and Grizzled Young Veterans, putting on contest filled with high spots before an ok women's triple threat. Main event of Finn Balor and Pete Dunne for NXT title lived up to my expectations too and had a cool angle to finish. Great watch.

AEW DYNAMITE (RUTHIE'S PICK)

AEW Dynamite is the show of the week. A couple of the shows we watched this week were PPV's. The PPV's on all brands are always great for different reasons. Every Dynamite show is high quality. Every AEW PPV is high quality. The story telling on every episode is great, and you get invested in the characters. The matches on this show will have you on the edge of your seat, an example is Riho vs Serena Deeb. There are high flying moves coming from Rey Fenix that will shock you. As a whole show it's entertaining and great throughout with storylines that will want you to tune in next week!
